Lit Studies, March 23

REMINDER: All lit postings to the website muct be entered by this Friday, March 25th. That's the last day of the quarter.

ISATs: March 7-18

For the ISAT testing period, students will be working on a project in which they read about various scientific discoveries that have occurred in the last few years, then categorize the stories. Students will then create a poster that shows the categories into which they have placed the discoveries. Students will take the ISAT science test on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 15-16.

Today we discussed metric units of length in perparation for next week's ISAT testing. Students reviewed the main units--millimeters, centimeters, meters, kilometers--and how to convert one to another. Students then visited various stations around the room to practice converting, and choosing the most appropriate units for measuring.
